Snake Beans (500g)
Snake Beans, also known as Chinese long beans or yard long beans, thay are a very productive climber with thin, crisp tender pods that can grow up to 40cm long.
They are dark green, with a slightly sweet flavour and crunchy texture. They're ideal chopped for stir-fries and curries or served in Asian side dishes. The tender pods are either eaten raw or cooked. They are commonly used in stir-fries and curries in most Asian dishes. Snake beans may be eaten both fresh and cooked, but the younger and slender varieties are the best in taste. In India, these beans are usually consumed with potatoes and shrimp and eaten with roti.
